rencontre bien souvent chez nos clients MySQL.<br \/>\nCeux qui utilisent MySQL ont sans doute d\u00e9j\u00e0 crois\u00e9 ce type de <em>warning <\/em>et d\u00e9couverts que les informations fournies par MySQL sur le sujet sont limit\u00e9es (ainsi que les infos que l&#8217;on peut glaner sur le net)<\/p>\n<p>Je veux parler ici d&#8217;erreurs r\u00e9currentes, qui se produisent de fa\u00e7on al\u00e9atoire plusieurs fois par jour, pas d&#8217;une erreur li\u00e9e \u00e0 un mauvais mot de passe ou \u00e0 des privil\u00e8ges insuffisants qui peuvent \u00e9galement g\u00e9n\u00e9rer ce type d&#8217;erreur.<\/p>\n<h3>Ce qu&#8217;en dit MySQL :<\/h3>\n<p>La page de documentation concernant ce probl\u00e8me est la suivante :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/dev.mysql.com\/doc\/refman\/5.1\/en\/communication-errors.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">http:\/\/dev.mysql.com\/doc\/refman\/5.1\/en\/communication-errors.html<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>En fait, il y a deux raisons essentielles pour lesquelles MySQL est susceptible de renvoyer cette erreur : Des probl\u00e8mes li\u00e9s au r\u00e9seau ou des probl\u00e8mes li\u00e9s au mode de sortie de session dans le code applicatif.<br \/>\nPour ce dernier cas, attention \u00e0 bien utiliser la fonction <a title=\"21.9.3.5.\u00a0mysql_close()\" href=\"http:\/\/dev.mysql.com\/doc\/refman\/5.1\/en\/mysql-close.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><code>mysql_close()<\/code><\/a> dans votre code applicatif.<\/p>\n<h3>Dans la pratique, que faire de cet avertissement ?<\/h3>\n<p>La premi\u00e8re question \u00e0 se poser est de savoir si ce probl\u00e8me affecte, d&#8217;une fa\u00e7on ou d&#8217;une autre, votre production.<br \/>\nPour le savoir, plusieurs sources sont \u00e0 votre disposition : Les utilisateurs qui peuvent vous remonter des erreurs, les logs applicatifs ou vos outils de monitoring qui clignotent trop r\u00e9guli\u00e8rement&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Si l&#8217;impact de cette erreur sur votre production est nulle, je vous recommande simplement de d\u00e9sactiver la remont\u00e9e d&#8217;info la concernant via le param\u00e8tre <a href=\"http:\/\/dev.mysql.com\/doc\/refman\/5.1\/en\/server-options.html#option_mysqld_log-warnings\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">log-warnings<\/a> :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>set global log_warnings = 1;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Attention toutefois, la manipulation de ce param\u00e8tre peut entra\u00eener la d\u00e9sactivation compl\u00e8te de tous les <em>warnings<\/em>. Rapprochez vous de la documentation de ce param\u00e8tre pour plus d&#8217;infos :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/dev.mysql.com\/doc\/refman\/5.1\/en\/server-options.html#option_mysqld_log-warnings\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">http:\/\/dev.mysql.com\/doc\/refman\/5.1\/en\/server-options.html#option_mysqld_log-warnings<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Sinon, je vous invite \u00e0 suivre le mode op\u00e9ratoire suivant :<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Demander aux admins r\u00e9seau de v\u00e9rifier les diff\u00e9rents composants r\u00e9seau de votre architecture afin d&#8217;identifier d&#8217;\u00e9ventuels probl\u00e8mes<\/li>\n<li>V\u00e9rifier votre code applicatif et la bonne utilisation de la fonction <a title=\"21.9.3.5.\u00a0mysql_close()\" href=\"http:\/\/dev.mysql.com\/doc\/refman\/5.1\/en\/mysql-close.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><code>mysql_close()<\/code><\/a><\/li>\n<li>V\u00e9rifier que vos clients MySQL ne d\u00e9passent pas le <em>timeout <\/em>de connexion d\u00e9fini par la variable <a href=\"http:\/\/dev.mysql.com\/doc\/refman\/5.1\/en\/server-system-variables.html#sysvar_connect_timeout\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><code>connect_timeout<\/code><\/a><\/li>\n<li>Augmenter la valeur du param\u00e8tre <a href=\"http:\/\/dev.mysql.com\/doc\/refman\/5.1\/en\/server-system-variables.html#sysvar_max_allowed_packet\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><code>max_allowed_packet<\/code><\/a> (cette derni\u00e8re m\u00e9thode semble d&#8217;ailleurs porter ses fruits chez un grand nombre d&#8217;utilisateurs)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Si ces diff\u00e9rentes op\u00e9rations ne permettent pas d&#8217;identifier ou de r\u00e9gler votre probl\u00e8me, essayez d&#8217;appliquer chaque point pr\u00e9conis\u00e9 dans la documentation mentionn\u00e9e en d\u00e9but d&#8217;article et croisez les doigts !<\/p>\n<p>N&#8217;h\u00e9sitez pas \u00e0 me faire un retour d&#8217;exp\u00e9rience sur ce point \u00e0 travers les commentaires.
