maintenant la fin de <strong><em>mysql_upgrade<\/em><\/strong> \u00e0 partir de la version de MySQL 8.0.16 !!!<\/p>\n<p>Une mise \u00e0 jour de MySQL se fait en 2 \u00e9tapes sur l&#8217;installation existante :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>la mise \u00e0 jour du dictionnaire de donn\u00e9es : les tables du dictionnaire de donn\u00e9es dans le sch\u00e9ma mysql et le sch\u00e9ma performance ainsi qu&#8217;information_schema.<\/li>\n<li>la mise \u00e0 jour au niveau du serveur : les tables syst\u00e8mes restantes du dictionnaire de donn\u00e9es dans le sch\u00e9ma mysql, le sch\u00e9ma sys et les sch\u00e9mas utilisateur.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Cependant, avant la version 8.0.16, nous \u00e9tions oblig\u00e9s de lancer le client <strong><em>mysql_upgrade <\/em><\/strong>pour qu&#8217;il envoie les requ\u00eates de mise \u00e0 jour de tables syst\u00e8mes et utilisateurs au serveur \u00e0 ex\u00e9cuter.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;<strong><em>Le changement, c&#8217;est maintenant<\/em><\/strong>&#8221; car depuis la version 8.0.16, les binaires mysqld se chargent enti\u00e8rement de la proc\u00e9dure de migration si celle-ci est n\u00e9cessaire et ne d\u00e9pend plus de la commande <strong><em>mysql_upgrade<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>mysql_upgrade<\/em><\/strong> devient donc obsol\u00e8te \u00e0 partir de cette version 8.0.16 et sera supprim\u00e9 dans les prochaines versions de MySQL.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Depuis MySQL 8.0.16, pour mettre \u00e0 jour votre version, cela se passe en 2 \u00e9tapes :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>arr\u00eat du serveur avec installation des nouveaux binaires<\/li>\n<li>d\u00e9marrage du serveur MySQL qui se chargera de la mise \u00e0 jour des tables du dictionnaire de donn\u00e9es et des tables syst\u00e8mes, help et utilisateurs si besoin est.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>La mise \u00e0 jour des tables syst\u00e8mes, help et utilisateurs font enti\u00e8rement partie du processus &#8220;<em>mise \u00e0 jour serveur<\/em>&#8221; et est le nouveau changement en 8.0.16 qui remplace <strong><em>mysql_upgrade<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Le temps de mise \u00e0 jour sera donc plus court car on a une \u00e9tape en moins qui \u00e9tait de lancer le client <strong><em>mysql_upgrade<\/em><\/strong>. Si des tables utilisateurs ne sont pas mises \u00e0 jour, un gain de temps en plus sera r\u00e9cup\u00e9r\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Pour ma part, j&#8217;ai fait 2 tests de mise \u00e0 jour de mon serveur MySQL 8.0.14 sur Windows 7 :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1er test : mise \u00e0 jour de 8.0.14 \u00e0 8.0.16 avec l&#8217;utilitaire MySQL Installer &#8211; Community sur Windows.<\/li>\n<li>2\u00e8me tests : mise \u00e0 jour de 8.0.16 \u00e0 8.0.17 en installant les derniers binaires et en d\u00e9marrant mon serveur MySQL.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>J&#8217;ai pu constater lors de mon deuxi\u00e8me test que le service MySQL80 a mis un peu plus de temps que d&#8217;habitude \u00e0 d\u00e9marrer car il mettait \u00e0 jour les diff\u00e9rentes tables n\u00e9cessaires en 8.0.17<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Bien s\u00fbr, si l&#8217;on ne veut pas que les choses changent, il existe 4 valeurs possibles sur la nouvelle option <strong>&#8211;<em>upgrade<\/em><\/strong> :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>NONE<\/strong> : aucune mise \u00e0 jour n&#8217;est faite et si une mise \u00e0 jour est requise, celle-ci sera annul\u00e9e par le serveur. La nouvelle version n&#8217;est pas autoris\u00e9e \u00e0 d\u00e9marrer.<\/li>\n<li><strong>AUTO<\/strong> : valeur par d\u00e9faut qui va obliger le serveur \u00e0 faire tant la mise \u00e0 jour du dictionnaire de donn\u00e9es que celle du serveur.<\/li>\n<li><strong>MINIMAL<\/strong> : va tenter uniquement la mise \u00e0 jour du dictionnaire de donn\u00e9es et pas celle du serveur lors de son d\u00e9marrage.
